Galitcka Army infantry units training features and specifics

Abstract

The article investigates Galitska Army infantry units training approach and features. Based on the archives documents, newspaper publications and memoir reviews, this article also discovers activities of District Military Teams including techniques to increase troop count, budget increases and military training. This research also comprises troop training approach for volunteers in Sambor, Ukrainian Sich Rifleman, and others. The attachment to this article includes Guidelines for training organization and structure for infantry officers and assistance officers, as discovered in the archives in the city of Kiev and Lviv. This article particularly focuses on the infantry troops training after Galitska Army across the river Zbruch, including factors that negatively influenced recruits training as well as tools used to overcome these factors. As a result of this research it was recognized that despite the adverse external and internal factors that occurred during the Galytska Army existence, its military leadership managed to create and maintain a successful infantry troop military training system. However, continuous war activities has prevented numerous recruits to complete a full training course.
