Abstract

Archaeology and history are two components of the science of history, they are the object of study, methods, and research on its own characteristics. The early 20th century modern archeology into China, it features a unique discipline plays in the study of history "reconstruction ancient history" and "permits for up history" of the task, causing changes in research methods, expanding the field of study. With the natural science and technology in the application and archeology archeology in their own development, it is historical research to provide more new material and social history and cultural information, and further expand the scope of the study, the study of history in playing a more prominent the role. Therefore, we need to strengthen the integration of archaeological and historical study of science, to promote the progress of historical research. Archaeology and history are the two parts of the historical science. They have their own features in research object, method and field. Archaeology, which was transmitted into China in the early 20th century, played an important role in "rebuilding ancient history" and " certifying and replenishing the history "in history research because of its special feature, led to the change of the research method and extended the research field. With the application of natural science and technology in archaeology and the development of archaeology, it had afforded more new references and social, historical and cultural information for history research, and prolonged the research areas. It is playing a more remarkable role in history research. So, we should strengthen the comprehensive research of archaeology and history to promote the progress of history research
