Abstract
The activities of the European Centre for Ethics prior to October 2000 were under the directorship of Johan Verstraeten, who completed his term as director in September of that year.At the close of the 2000-2001 academic year, Bart Pattyn, successor to John Verstraeten as director of the European Centre for Ethics, issued a comprehensive annual report about the centre's activities and future plans. Such a report indicates not only who the people are and what they are about but also enables coordinators and planners to take a closer look at goals, evaluate past achievements and plan more effectively for the future. We are pleased to include some segments of that report in this issue of Ethical Perspectives
