Variations of Group Character of Ancient Chinese Literati: From Shi Shuo Xin Yu to Rulin Waishi

Abstract

In this paper, "Shi" who reflected Wei Jinwen group character and the "Scholars" group of Qing dynasty reflected in an object for the study of personality, to scholars and the feudal regime dependent relationship with the opposing point of view, on the analysis of ancient China literary character from the Wei to the Qing Dynasty group variation. - Wei Jinwen because of political and economic status of the relatively independent, so the personality is not about control and the feudal regime, showing a strong independent self-consciousness and personality colors. From the Tang Dynasty, the feudal regime, through the imperial examination system firmly in control of those children into the body text of the road, thus making sense of the author's group character has been distorted and suppressed. Especially to the Ming and Qing dynasties, stereotyped system of literary arts has even self-awareness and individuality squeezed to a minimum, so that they distort the soul to the imperial examination, resulting in extreme loss of personality. Examinations have become the tools of alienation literary soul. "Shi" and "Scholars" is the ancient Chinese literati of two opposing groups of personality image presentation
