Abstract

The paper discusses about background of open data, policies and initiatives in the field of digital humanities in India. The article highlights the significance of open data on mankind and its potential in advancing research, promoting transparency, and encouraging collaborations. The article analyzes the current state of open data policies and initiatives in world as well as in India.The paper accentuates the significance of open data in enabling greater collaboration and inclusivity in the Digital Humanities in India, and calls for increased efforts to promote open data policies and initiatives in the country.The article talked about the successful open data initiatives in India and provides recommendations on how to foster a more open and inclusive digital humanities community.
