Abstract

Previous chapter Rhythm as Characteristic of Artery Pulse – Herophilus Born in Chalcedon-Bithynia a few years after Aristole's death, Herophilus moved at a fairly young age to Alexandria to begin his schooling. He was one of Praxagoras' pupils, yet we do not know where he received his teaching. He seems to have spent most of his life in Egypt. He wrote at least eight books, unfortunately none of them remains. Through Praxagoras, he was familiar with Aristotle's - Médecine – Nouvel article
