Abstract

Maritain and the French Catholic thinkers for contemporary Marcel, Maritain research圣多瑪斯, the development of new scholasticism, Marcel abandon all systems and focus on life experiences, and promote specific philosophy. In different areas, two philosophers gave new blood into the Catholic faith, and it laid a strong academic foundation. Marcel conversion in forty years old, learn when and Maritain two years, the end result of human factors and its own temperament and choices, give up the effort. Tetsuo number two representatives of the exchanges early this century philosopher diverse challenges and struggles. Marcel exchanges of Maritain's description and help to understand the evolution of thinking within the Catholic Church and the敎live today's cultural ecology. Maritain and Marcel are two French contemporary Catholic thinkers. Maritain did researches on St. Thomas, developping Neo-scholasticism, while Marcel, giving all kinds of systems, concentrated on life-experiences and advocated the concrete philosophy. In different areas, the two philosophers infused new blood into the Catholic belief and gave it a solid academic foundation. The two philosophers met and tried to have dialogue, but due to different characters and choices, they didn't really meet. It was an example of the initial pluralistic effort and differentiation of religious thoughts in our century. The study of the two thinkers helps to understand the evolution and the actual situation of the Catholic culture
