Abstract

The Seminary of the Good Shepherd commenced at Homebush in 1996, following the closure of St Patrick's College at the end of 1995. In his quinquennial report for the years 1993-98, Cardinal Clancy made some comments on the move. He explained that the transition from one site to another provided a unique opportunity to examine past traditions. The timing coincided with the decision of the Holy See to commission a general review of seminaries, and that was undertaken by Bishop Geoffrey Robinson. His Eminence wrote.
