Les Origines Ideologiques et Sociopolitiques de L’Islamisme Chiite Irakien: Muhammad Baqer Al-Sadr et Le Parti Al-Da’Wa

Abstract

The Islamic Shia movement, appeared at late fifties especially under the form of al-Da’wa Party, proposed itself both the the preservation of Shia values in front of modernity and the new secular ideologies and a program of political action, aiming the installation of a government in conformity with the Islamic principles. In the particular case of Irak, once the Ba`th Party have reached the political power, any Shia political ambition of participating the leadership in the name of community`s interests was excluded and the protestant religios leaders and the Shia militant groups were permanentely repressed or forced to exil.
