Abstract

The paper concerns the relation betwen contemporary jurisprudence and philosophy of science. Nowadays, naturalistic approach to law seems to be really important. In the context of the recent rapid development of the empirical sciences concerning human behavior, legal issues may be seen from new perspective. The consequence of such an empirical approach is that jurisprudence becomes purely desriptive discipline. Also many problems of philosophy of science, in particular the epistemic value of scientific statements controvesy, gain a new significance for the philosophy of law. They are discussed in the paper.
