Abstract

Mircea Eliade’s intellectual legacy and the way in which his work has been perceived during the communist period and after December 1989, as well as the political post-communist mythology and the effect of “freedom” are themes which can be found in the following pages. All these are closely connected to the concepts of sacred and profane and the way of man’s living in the world
