Improving the teaching methods of biology in general secondary schools on the basis of a competency-based approach

Abstract

The use of basic competencies in the teaching of biology from the subjects included in the curriculum of general secondary schools is very effective. Competency-based education is education that focuses on developing students' ability to apply the knowledge, skills, and competencies they have acquired in their personal, future professional, and social activities. So, a competency-based approach is a pressing issue for the education system.
