Abstract

Fang Dongmei was a native of Tongcheng, Anhui Province. He taught for over fifty years, and produced over ten major works. He devoted his entire life to the study of comparative cultures and comparative philosophy, developing a unique philosophy of Eastern and Western cultures. This article is limited to an objective appraisal of Fang Dongmei's discussions of the modernization of traditional Chinese culture.
