Abstract

La muestra gira en torno a la representación del cuerpo femenino en la obra de Miguel Ángel y Pontormo, así como en sus variantes florentinas -Vasari, Bronzino, Allori, Michele di Ridolfo- en contraposición con la representación del David, arquetipo de la belleza masculina: mientras que el desnudo masculino es tratado casi siempre con orgulloso amor, el desnudo femenino es visto con tibia indiferencia -corazón frío y pensamientos afilados como espadas-, sin asomo alguno de afectiva fantasía.
