Abstract

The article aims to examine the levinasian’s concept of living word trough therelation between concept and metaphor. The Levinas’s conception of languageis based on the face to face relationship between the I and the Other. And thisrelationship points not only to the ethical meaning of the human’s thinking, but also to the rhetorical structure of the language itself. The return to thedaily speech, as Levinas presents, is the condition to preserve the separationbetween the I and the Other. This return is also a philosophical resource tofight against the unfairness and the no-truth caused by the rhetorical power
