Abstract

The author approves “a decidedly nonclassical concept, suggested by Heisenberg, that actuality and potentiality constitute two fundamental species of reality”. “Potentialities of definiteness,” designated “potentia,” which are closely related to Whitehead’s “eternal objects,” are central to this discussion.
