Abstract

Issued in the Problems of Philosophy Series this book includes selections from Moore, Russell, Lovejoy, Ayer, Price, Austin, and others in the British tradition. The book begins with an introductory section designed to set up the main problems in the theory of perception and is subsequently divided into sections on sense data, types of realism, and phenomenalism. The selections are not as current as they might have been and there is a complete lack of inclusion of continental philosophy, particularly phenomenology.—E. A. R.
