The Care for the Feminine in Yang Shou-Yu's Novels

Abstract

Given Taiwan's move settlers system, resulting in distortion of Taiwanese women in social values, the long-term plays a vulnerable, humiliated, to be at the expense of the role of the lack of an independent personality. Japanese occupation of Taiwan writers, continued to work in the performance of the respect and care for women, non-YANG Shou-yu must go. This paper is published four in succession from its more than thirty novels, the historical background to set off to explore the different women in Taiwan society, the role of the plight of the author in addition to living under the rule of the Japanese people and embarrassing situation for women Unfortunately, sympathetic, but also hope to achieve by writing the purpose of intellectual enlightenment. Due to the system of migrant wasteland cultivation in Taiwan, the female there had long been playing the role of the weak, bullied, and being the victims without their individual personalities under the twisted social value. In the Japanese occupied period, Yang Shou-Yu should be viewed as the upmost one in his works continued expressing the respects and cares toward the feminine among Taiwanese writers. This thesis studies his published, more than forty novels in a roll. Under that time period as being the background in the Taiwanese society, it leads the research on the predicaments which various female roles were involved in. The researcher not only expresses the sympathy toward civilian sufferings and female predicaments, the enlightenment in thinking through this research is also hoped to achieve
