Abstract

In this paper I propose a path within what I define as hermeneutics of the interhuman bond sketched by Ricoeur. After having outlined the philosopher’s forms of concrete commitment in the public space of collective life, I will trace some theoretical moments able to give an account of the relevance of Ricoeur’s thought in the complex framework of contemporary life. Starting from the distinction between the socius and the neighbor, I will highlight the relational dialectic between the ego and the other. I will then analyze the utopian horizon opened by the ecclesial community, in relation to the tasks of the political educator. Finally, I will examine the presence of the foreigner in the collective space, determining the elements of a poetics of wanting to live together.
