The Department of Philosophy and the Institute of the Arts and Humanistic Studies of the Pennsylvania State University is sponsoring an INTERNATIONAL COLLOQUIUM ON HEIDEGGER'S PHILOSOPHY OF LANGUAGE September 18-21, 1969 a tribute to Professor Martin Heidegger on the occasion of his 80th Anniversary, September 26, 1969 Colloquium Chairman, Joseph J. Kockelmans PROGRAM Thursday, September 18, 1969 10.00 a.m. Professor Walter Biemel, Poetry and Language 3.00 p.m. Professor Otto Pöggeler, Heidegger's Topology of Being Friday, September 19 10.00 a.m. Professor Henri Birault, Thought and Poetry in Heidegger 3.00 p.m. Professor Werner Marx, The Relationship of Language, World, and Thing Saturday, September 20 10.00 a.m. Professor Emmanuel Levinas, Language of Truth and Language of Approach 3.00 p.m. Professor Heinrich Ott, Hermeneutical and Personal Structure of Language Sunday, September 21 10.00 a.m. Summary and Discussion. Professors John Anderson, Calvin Schrag, William Richardson, Thomas Langan, and Laszlo Versenyi. The papers will be presented in the speakers' native languages. Translations will be provided for the papers as well as the discussions following them.
