Collocation: applications and implications.Geoff Barnbrook - 2013 - New York, NY: Palgrave-Macmillan. Edited by Oliver Mason & Ramesh Krishnamurthy.
All aspects of the concept of collocation – the phenomenon whereby words naturally tend to occur in the company of a restricted set of other words – are covered in this book. It deals in detail with the history of the word collocation, the concepts associated with it and its use in a linguistic context. The authors show the practical means by which the collocational behavior of words can be explored using illustrative computer programs and examine applications in (...)

Kollokationsforschung und Kollokationsdidaktik.Peter Ďurčo (ed.) - 2016 - Wien: Lit.

The (ir)reversibility of English binomials: corpus, constraints, developments.Sandra Mollin - 2014 - Philadelphia: John Benjamins.
This book focuses on binomials (word pairs such as heart and soul, rich and poor, or if and when), and in particular on the degree of reversibility that English binomials demonstrate. Detailed and innovative corpus linguistic analyses investigate the correlates of the degree of reversibility, linguistic constraints that influence the ordering and reversibility of binomials and the diachronic development of reversibility. In addition, judgment data are analyzed for their convergence and divergence with corpus data regarding degrees of reversibility. (...)

The Macquarie Laws of War Corpus (MQLWC): Design, Construction and Use.Annabelle Lukin & Rodrigo Araujo E. Castro - 2022 - International Journal for the Semiotics of Law - Revue Internationale de Sémiotique Juridique 35 (5):2167-2186.
This paper discusses the creation and use of the new Macquarie Laws of War Corpus. The corpus consists of the 110 documents of international war law stored in the International Committee of the Red Cross treaties database, starting with the 1856 Declaration Respecting Maritime Law and ending with the most recent amendment to the Rome Statute. The new MQLWC is hosted at the Sydney Corpus Lab, via its CQWeb interface, which allows for searching of frequencies, concordance lines, and collocations. The (...)
