Abstract

On 28 July 2010, the General Assembly adopted, as orally revised, a resolution calling on States and international organizations to provide financial resources, build capacity and transfer technology, particularly to developing countries, in scaling up efforts to provide safe, clean, accessible and affordable drinking water and sanitation for all. We shall hereby examine the legal instruments and international approaches to protecting basic human rights and the right to water and water protection, in the context of ecological degradation, climate change and globalization.
