The Possibility of Evil in Zhu Zi's Cosmology

Abstract

Zhu's cosmology, the reason is there beyond all the specific basis, since all things are beyond the reason of this decision, reasons why the world has left a bad thing to happen? This is Zhu's a problem in cosmology, I am also aware of the problem of Zhu Xi, but the response was disappointing. The author's view is: Zhu Xi's theory of the universe at this point can actually be justified . Zhu called the nature of temperament can be broken down into "the nature of temperament A" and "temperament of the nature of B", which is the temperament of the B-people have all the physical and psychological desires. The desire of good and evil in itself does not matter, but the heart is heaven but the road can be obedient heart, but also the nature of single-B was determined by temperament and for the people. If the latter, wishes to have over the situation with less, this is evil. Therefore, the possibility of evil in heaven decided to biochemical processes in the universe, three different levels of the specific internalization of the constraints lead to self-generated, and the Specific evil is caused by people's freedom to decide. "Li" is the transcendent basis in Zhu Xi's cosmology. The myriad of creatures are then accordingly determined by this principle of "Li". Where, then, is there any room for an occurrence of evil? This is a sticking point in Zhu Xi's cosmology. Zhu Xi himself was aware of the problem of evil in his was aware of the problem of evil in his philosophy, but his treatment of evil in his philosophy, but his treatment of the problem was disappointing. My own viewpoint is that a more comprehensive analysis of ths problem would have given Zhu Xi's philosophy completeness. Zhu Xi's "Qi zhi Zhi Xing" can be further divided into "Qi Zhi Zhi Xing A" and "Qi Zhi Zhi xing B ". It is within" Qi Zhi Zhi Xing B "that" Li "is born and human beings find the desires of the mind. These desires in themselves are neither good nor evil. Aperson can choose either to follow the" Li "of heaven and make it the way of the mind or just allow" Qi Zhi Zhi Xing B "to dictate the mind's path. It is in choosing the latter that the possibility ofevil arises. The possibility of evil is thusly produced in a three- tier level of personal choice within the larger framework of the evolution of the universe.
