Abstract

Jacob Boehme's speculative mysticism was studied intensely by the Romantics and the German Idealists and it played an important role in the development of Postkantian thought. The article describes and analyses the influence of Boehme on Hegel and Schelling, especially through the notion of revelation-manifestation, becoming, time and evil. It also tries to show the general philosophical relevance of Boehme's system
