Abstract

Vico’s reference is so deeply rooted in Isaiah Berlin’s thought and work as to justify the claim of defining Berlin as a soul naturaliter Vichian. A great deal of his philosophical output still displays Vico’s lasting influence which may accurately traced back in Berlin’s autobiographical account of his intellectual path: the beginnings of the analytical philosophy in the early 1930s, historicism, history of ideas and pluralism
