Recovering the Sacred
Inquiry: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Philosophy 54 (2):113-125 (2011)
Abstract
This paper tries to examine what is at stake in the various projects to ?re-enchant the world?, which have arisen in the face of modernity. It sees the ambition to ?save the sacred? in this context. It poses a number of problems which arise for such projects, and in particular examines the notion of ?polytheism? which is central to the recent book of Sean Kelly and Hubert Dreyfus, All Things ShiningMy notes
