Abstract
in this article i analyze some of the main problems concerning the interpretation of the en and eo series of Mycenaean Linear B tablets from Pylos, with a particular focus on the supposed connection between en 659.1-6 and eo 444. the idea of rejecting a direct link between the two documents, which has been already argumented by various scholars such as G. Maddoli and Y. du houx, is here supported with a graphic reconstruction of the eo 444 tablet. such a rejecting allows a more adequate understanding of the whole en series, giving a possible solution to the problems concerning the fourteenth te-re-ta of pa-ki-ja-ne, which is now supposed to have been originally registered on the en and eo tablets, just like the others. this interpretation is helpful in the understanding of the nature of the da-ma-te as well: supposing a complete identification between the en series and the introductory lines en 609.1-2, a * da-ma is necessarily seen here as an abstract concept somehow related to land tenture
