Abstract

In this article I reflect on the meaning of the sport activity and on the goal that gives it social legitimacy. I analyze its stakeholders and their main values. I also offer some keys to understand the important role that plays sport in our society nowadays. That allows us to review this new branch of applied ethics called “sport ethics”. One analyzed those issues, the main objective of this article is to apply an important contemporary ethics as “discourse ethics” to the sport phenomenon and to offer some orientations considering its notion of “fair play” and justice as “equal opportunities”
