On Bourdieu's Distinction and Reflexive Sociology

Abstract

This paper describes an outstanding class and Bourdieu's reflexive sociology, mainly in the beginning of the first Bourdieu's life, thought the source, the important theoretical writings and through his creation of the three basic thinking tools "practice" "habit" and "Field" be introduced; second part of the creation in its rich, reflexive sociology choices are closely related on the outstanding class theory as the main, describes the various social space market in the capital, Bourdieu can be divided into four categories: economic capital , cultural capital , social capital , and symbolic capital . Then extended to the concept of the four capital outstanding class ; third part describes reflexive sociology perspectives and characteristics, and five more people familiar with Bourdieu's critique of society-A. Education and criticized the education system, B. on the "middle class" existential critique, C. of the "public building" critical, D. on "TV News" critical, E. on "conspicuous consumption" of criticism; first four parts to the views of other scholars and summary. This paper is primarily about the Bourdieu's "distinction" and "reflexive sociology". First, introduce Bourdieu's life, the sources of his thoughts, and the three thinking tools to allhis theories-practice, habitus and field. The second part revolves around "distinction ", closely related to reflexive sociology, and introduces the capital of different markets in the social space, which Bourdieu categorizes in to le capital économique, le capitalculturel'le capital social, and le capital symbolique. Through the concepts of the four types of capital , further discuss the idea of ​​distinction. The third part is about the perspectives and characteristics of reflexive sociology and five examples of Bourdieu's more well-known critiques about the society-first, the critique of education and educational institutions; second, the critique of the bourgeoisie existence; third, the critique of the construction of public opinions; fourth, the critique of TV news-making; and fifth, the critique of show-off consumption. And then the fourth part is about other scholars' views and the final conclusion
