Although a number of measures have been taken to implement sanitary measures and provide quality drinking water, these works have not been implemented. The population still drank water from canals and wells, new wells were dug only in large cities, and sometimes water was brought from springs and sold, but it was stated that the majority of the population could not afford to buy water.
