Abstract

The first part of the text is an excursion in the concept of imago amoris, from the discourse about the divine image in Jean-Pierre Vernant to the tale of Psyche in the Asinus aureus by Apuleius. In the second part, the analysis concerns the love poetry in the Western literature, from San Juan de la Cruz to Emily Brontë, from Jean Renart to Francisco de Quevedo, from the texts about Tris-tram and Iseult to Anaïs Nin.
