Abstract
This particular paper proposes a theoretical grounding of potential cognitive research strategy, under which basic methodological principles of poverty as a social phenomenon should be analyzed taking into account the whole range of various components of the institutional dimension of society and also the social and cultural realities within which individual experiences its own livelihoods. Practically, it means for researcher one considerable fact that determination of poverty could not and should not be perceived only as a result of wide structural changes which result in situation when one or another social group becomes poor. Furthermore, the author also noticed that mechanisms of reproduction of poverty to structural and institutional level functioning of society derive research focus on the level of socio-cultural analysis of poverty, thereby actually insisting on complexity of the synthesis and methodological research strategies that are known in modern social sciences. This article experiences an attempt to resolve different methodological problems associated with measuring of subculture of poverty, which is characterized by a specific system of values and attitudes, accepted among the poor with lesser or greater degree of intensity. Moreover, by the article author analyzed diversified approaches to the study of subculture of poverty, which expresses the whole range of different socio-cultural features of poverty in one particular concept. This aspect of the article is considered to be limitlessly significant for researcher who is involved in a work with cultural specific of poverty reproduction inside the society. To widen a socio-cultural focus on defined research problem, discourse of this particular text is considered with a factor of cultural resource, acquiring the status of capital, it is able to turn into an important factor of influence on the one hand - the reproduction of poverty in different social structure, mainly it deals with the social group of so-called «new poor» or, vice versa - be special group characteristic that provides the potential for rapid poverty reduction in favorable institutional and structural conditions, especially when these conditions are getting better.
