Abstract

The article tells about the myths and legends of writers who have contributed to their novels in order to familiarize themselves with the heritage of past culture. Myths, legends and legends are found in various aesthetic systems - from the ancient tragedy to the postmodern novel, so we should talk about the myth not only as a philosophy, ideology or worldview, but also as how the main artistic method is applied to give depth and universality to a specific plot.
