Abstract

This article aims to present some elements of deep relevance for a better understanding of the importance of "listening" to the Word of God in the liturgy. Once we live the culture of noises in the modern society, there’s a need for a culture of listening, so that in the silence of words, the Word of God, proclaimed in the liturgy, can have its primacy. It is a reflection that signs out the celebrative space as an environment of silence and listening to the Word of God. It also intends to awaken in the heart of the listener, through gestures and words, the sacramental dimension of Scripture in the liturgy.
