Abstract

The paper focuses upon the recurring figure of female Christ in the Serbian women's writing of the nineties and its links with the American female gothic. Judita Šalgo and Mirjana Novaković use their respective plots and characters in order to present a possible Herland – Utopia founded by women - once designed in the writing of Charlotte Perkins Gillman
