Abstract

The first and longer part of this study describes the formation and development of the Leibnizian system, against the background of Leibniz's life, education and travels; the second part presents a systematic exposition of its contents, beginning with the notion of God, proceeding through a discussion of substance, nature and evil to the elaboration of the "City of Man."--M. F.
