Abstract

This work is a series of studies by various authors, the result of a symposium of the Union Catholique des Scientifiques Français held in October 1956, to discuss man’s peculiar biological place in creation. They comprise chapters on the human brain, neurology, biochemistry and endocrinology. These are intended for specialists in biology and philosophy rather than for the general reader. There are however chapters devoted to the discussion of conclusions drawn from previous studies, and these are both useful and helpful generally.
