Non-governmental organizations as a tool of “smart power”

Abstract

The article examines the role of NGOs as instruments of inflence in the international arena and their growing role in recent years. Primarily, NGOs - part instrumental basis soft power. The article stated that NGOs with limited resources, using the method of involvement by which get the desired results. The ability of NGOs to inflence opinion and civic activity is defied as the main method of spreading the inflence of international actors on the receptor. Western NGOs are important tools for spreading or growing inflence, creating or improving image, creating information centers locally, media-responding groups etc. Assistance and development of journalism and communication between journalists and NGOs, and the help to civil activists or future leaders is a balanced and smart policy that in the future will guarantee support and create an important center of power in the required region.
