Abstract

After formulating in schematic way the fundamental problem of religion in Kant – that of deciding whether man is morally good or bad – the article discusses the his concept of religion of reason, emphasizing that Kant put forward a doctrine of religion without God, although not without the idea of God. Next, the article develops Kant´s views on human nature, and shows that these views delimit the factual domain of application to which are applied the fundamental predicates of religion, morally good and morally bad
