An Explorative Study of the Influential Factors upon the Grief

Abstract

In this study, literature review, collected between 1995-2005 and "sad" about the "physical", "social", "family", "culture" and "religion" and "background" information to make discovery and recommendations. Found:  widowed older women, more likely to lead to depression or traumatic grief; while men on the mortality or morbidity than women; both men and women, within six months after bereavement traumatic injury grief can predict cancer and other severe; Survivor's work helps to maintain good health; social support generally helps to reduce stress and mental health; people to death and sorrow tend to show a variety of social construction, indicating a more tolerant and flexible atmosphere of mourning grief to be established; open communication to express feelings, to help the family function of the increase; therapeutic groups for bereaved children involved are particularly effective; social support is important, but must be "quality over quantity", or may cause so-called "helpless" or "rogue "grief persons; most people avoid talking about life and death, general education or narrow is an important intervention program issues; bereaved old people's loneliness is the most frequently cited problems. Recommendation: injury grief is a positive / negative and the inside / outside of the psychological process of cutting back and forth, the direction of future research to assess the number of degrees of risk variables and protective factors, in order to clarify the impact of possible ways of mourning grief; grief counseling for the cognitive dimension of meaning the "meaning of life and death to explore and re-construction", the emotional level, "the expression of negative emotions, sadness and acceptance," and behavioral dimensions of the "problem-solving ability of learning and conduct." This is a literature review of the influential factors upon grief from 1995-2005. Factors such as physical, psychological, social, cultural and background were collected and anal sized. The findings are as following-The elderly widows has higher risk of traumatic grief, while the male widowed has higher risk of dying and getting sickness. In general, the traumatic grief of lost families within half year has higher correlation with the occurrence of getting cancer. Work helps to maintain the physical health of the bereaved person. Social support in general attributes to the reduction of the stress and the improvement of the mental hygiene. Human being express divergent levels of social constructions, implying the necessity of the building of a more flexible atmosphere for bereavement. Opening communication and the expression of emotions will helps to facilitate the functions of the bereaved families. The intervention of the therapeutic groups proves to help the bereaved children the most. Inadequate social support may produce the so-called "helplessness" or "overly dependent" bereaved. Most people still have a higher tendency of avoidance to talk about death, therefore, More related courses are recommended to bring into the school and the community system. For bereaved aged people, loneliness is the mostly mentioned disturbance
