Abstract

L’opera d’arte assente – deterritorializzata – rispetto al suo destino, ovvero allo spazio e al tempo realmente abitati, e ai suoi scopi estetici o cultuali, abita uno spazio sempre sovrano e vive un tempo sempre contemporaneo, vale a dire ultimo. Cessa di essere ‘prigioniero occultato’ e svela dialetti¬camente il proprio sé. Così accade per la Madonna Sistina di Raffaello, ‘fuori luogo’ a Dresda, la cui fortuna attraversa la cultura occidentale; e così è per il culto delle reliquie e i diversi collezionismi della storia, che in¬crociano l’attualità in corrispondenza della ‘sovranità delocalizzata’ nella geopolitica attuale.The work of art being ‘absent’ – taken out of its original territory or, even more, without a territory – in relation to its destiny, to the space and the time it actually occupies and to its aesthetic or cultural aims. It inhabits a space always ‘above’ and it lives in a time ‘ever present’, always the ‘la¬test’. It stops being the ‘hidden prisoner’ and reveals its inner self. ‘With¬out a place’ is the Raffaello’s Madonna Sistina in Dresda, the fate of which crosses the western culture; and so it is for the cult of the reliquaries and the different collector’s trends of history, that cross the present time in correspondence to the ‘out-of-place sovereignty’ in the current geopolitical situation
