Abstract

A paper read by the author on February 18, 2008, at the Cervantes Institute, Naples, focusing on the Tessitore’s book Interpretación del historicismo . Reconstructing and locating in their historical context the philosophical theses expounded in the volume, the author outlines the peculiarities of Tessitore’s critical and problematic historicism, which gives priority to the reasons of the individual and historical exsistence, as against the absolutistic and monistical pretensions of philosophy conceived as the science of Being
