Global Warming, Ozone Depletion and Water Politics: Political Realist and Liberal Institutionalist perspectives at the state level
Abstract
It is without a doubt that environmental issues such as global warming, ozone depletion and water politics will have major implications on individuals and their way of life. However more important are the implications such issues are having on nation states , their international relations and security. This paper examines the role of global warming, ozone depletion and water politics from political perspectives of Realism and Liberal Institutionalism in the context of international relations. Both perspectives reveal different approaches of nation states to deal with these environmental issues in ways that maximize their own security and welfare
