Abstract

This article is intended as a contribution to an integrated understanding of Malek Bennabi's vision of culture and its transformation. It must be said that an attempt was made to deal with the concepts and ideas of Bennabi, forming the essence of his studies on culture and its civilizing function in society. This article aims to present the understanding of culture according to Bennabi's point of view, as a project of essential educational value. Bennabi's cultural vision emphasizes that ethics, aesthetics, practical reasoning and technical skills form the core of any change in civilization, respectively. The article also describes Bennabi's reflections that culture becomes an important social and educational agent of change, which can restore, even renovate, the sense of efficiency and creativity in the Islamic society.
