Abstract

O presente texto analisa um dos desdobramentos reflexivos que se organizamem torno da ontologia virtual de Gilles Deleuze. A questão central que serávisitada se origina na afirmação, por parte de Deleuze, da realidade e davirtualidade da multiplicidade do real. Esta declaração fundamental do autorde Diferença e repetição promove uma polemica ou uma disputa com AlainBadiou, a qual é apresentada conceitualmente no seu texto: Deleuze o clamordo Ser. Aquilo que se encontra em pauta é a possibilidade de que umamultiplicidade seja efetivamente real sendo virtual. Para Deleuze, só é possívela existência efetiva do ente singular a partir de uma dinâmica ontológica queencontra sua condição de aparecimento no fluxo do puro virtual, instaurandoaquilo que ele define como “empirismo transcendental”. Superar a forma dequalquer fundamento transcendente que permita o aparecer do ente só serápossível se aquilo que opera como condição já é real, isto é, se não mais setratar de uma passagem do “ainda potencial” para o “agora real”,mas deatualizar uma dimensão do próprio real. De modo pontual, esta é a controvérsiacom Badiou, que afirma, contrariamente a Deleuze, a total atualidade damultiplicidade e assim sua plena realidade; com efeito, para que o ente sejaapresentado e habitado pela multiplicidade enquanto operação de uma diferençanão substancializada, aquela deve ser atual, e não depender de uma passagemontológica de singularização que passe do virtual-real para o atual-real. Atravésde sua leitura, Badiou leva a reflexão até a análise do estatuto do própriovirtual-atual enquanto elemento nevrálgico para a reflexão ontológica e, emparticular, enquanto momento de maior problematicidade conceitual.*The present essay analyses one of the reflective developments organizedaround Gilles Deleuze’s virtual ontology. The central question to be visitedstems from the affirmation, partly made by Deleuze himself, of the reality and virtuality of the multiplicity of the Real. This fundamental declarationmade by the author of Difference and Repetition triggered a polemic ordispute with Alain Badiou, which is presented conceptually in his book,Deleuze. The Clamor of Being. At stake is the possibility that multiplicityas effectively real is also virtual. For Deleuze, the effective existence ofsingular beings is only possible provided it be from a dynamic ontology thatfinds its conditions of appearing in the flux of the pure virtual, whichestablishes what he defines as “transcendental empiricism”. Whether the formof a transcendental foundation allowing for the appearance of beings can besuperseded is only possible provided that what operates as a condition isalready real, that is, if it is no longer a question of passing from the “stillpotential” to the “now real”, but of carrying out a dimension of the realitself. In a punctual mode, this is the controversy with Badiou. As opposedto Deleuze, Badiou asserts the entire actuality of multiplicity and thus itsfull reality. Indeed, for beings to be presented and inhabited by multiplicityas an operation of a non-substantialized difference, it has to be actual. Inother words, it cannot depend on an ontological passing of the singularizationshifting from the virtual-real to the actual-real. In this reading, Badiou carriesout a thought on the analysis of the status of the virtual-actual itself as thecentral element for ontological reflection and, in particular, as the momentof greatest conceptual problematization
