Abstract

O presente artigo trata das relações entre arte e moral no pensamento deNietzsche, tomando como referência a questão da catarse. Procura-se mostrarem que medida a crítica de Nietzsche aos efeitos moralizantes da tragédia e daarte em geral acompanha a trajetória de seu pensamento, culminando, emespecial a partir do Zaratustra, com a crítica da moral da compaixão emSchopenhauer.This article deals with the relations between art and moral in the thought ofNietzsche taking as a reference the theme of catharsis. Therefore, it intendsto show in which way Nietzsche’s critique to the moralizing effects of tragedyand art in general follows the trajectory of his thought, particularly afterZaratustra, reaching its highest level on the critique of the moral of compassion in Schopenhauer
