Her research interests include topics in clinical ethics, research ethics, and Chinese bioethics.Jack Coulehan is a general internist and chair of the ethics case consultation service at Stony Brook University Hospital. Among his academic interests are the patient-clinician relationship and the healing power of poetry. His most recent books include Medicine Stone: Poems (Fithian Press, 2002), Chekhov’s Doctors: A Collection of Chekhov’s Medical Tales (Kent State University Press, 2003), and the 5th edition of The Medical Interview: Mastering Skills for Clinical Practice, with Marian Block (F.A. Davis, forthcoming).James Dwyer is the associate director of education at the Center for Bioethics and Humanities, at SUNY Upstate Medical University, in Syracuse, New York. His work focuses on health, justice, and democracy.Holly K. Fernandez is a second-year law student at the University of Pennsylvania, where she is concurrently studying for her Master’s in Bioethics. Her academic interests include reproductive and research ethics, and she is presently working on articles concerning the tort liability of institutional review board members and the constitutional implications of President Bush’s embryonic stem cell research policy.Arthur W. Frank is professor of sociology at the University of Calgary.
