Abstract

Resumo Dar “razões da sua fé” é um desafio para a comunidade católica actual. Este trabalho pretende explorar a lógica da acção no pensamento de Maurice Blondel, autor francês do século XIX, como uma justificação filosófica para a fé católica. Para tal, a filosofia de Blondel é aqui comparada com a filosofia de Jean François Lyotard – o autor mais unanimemente utilizado como referência do pensamento pós-moderno – quanto às temáticas comuns a ambos. Depois de comprovada a actualidade das temáticas que Blondel trata, explorar-se-á que benefício alternativo aporta Blondel à comunidade cristã; benefício que ela não recebe dos autores pós-modernos. Segue-se a aplicação da filosofia blondeliana à prova da existência de Deus, à organização dos saberes; bem como à explicação do Ateísmo. Finalmente, verifica-se se a filosofia blondeliana é católica. This essay explores the logic of action in Maurice Blondel’s thought, a French author of the 19th century, as a philosophical justification for the catholic faith. In order to do that, Blondel’s philosophy is compared here to Jean François Lyotard’s philosophy – the author more unanimously used as a reference for the post-modern thought – on the common themes of both authors. After showing the importance of the themes treated by Blondel to today’s world, the essay will explore the alternative benefit that Blondel brings to the Christian community; a benefit that one does not get from post-modern authors. The essay continues with the application of Blondel’s philosophy to the proof of God’s existence, the organization of knowledges, as well as the explanation of atheism.
