Abstract

Este artigo discute alguns significados da racionalidade de seguir uma norma, alguns da racionalidade como otimização do interesse próprio, e alguns da racionalidade como otimização do interesse geral. O problema do egoísmo de grupo, especialmente quando vinculado ao problema da expansão de nossa comunidade moral, é apresentado e analisado.This paper discusses some meanings of “rationality of rule-following”, of “rationality as self-interest optimization”, and of “rationality as general interest optimization”. Furthermore it presents and analyzes the problem of group egoism, specially insofar as it is related to the problem of expanding our moral community
