Abstract

Back in 2007, the United Nations supported a new initiative to emphasize sustainability in business schools around the world. The Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME) as a platform rests on the logic that it is in business schools where current and future leaders learn on the normative, strategic and functional level. Equipped with the right values and skills to cope with even complex sustainability challenges, graduates should be in a much better position to add value. Up until now, 800+ signatories worldwide have joined the movement, and PRME offers a rich variety of resources to design, train for, direct and report on initiatives (cf. https://www.unprme.org/about). Regional and national chapters help boost localization beyond numerous initiatives at a global level.
